I have had a lot of experience with other parrot cages and would rate this one as one of the best. I used to like the Avian Adventures cages the most, even though they were a lot more expensive, but I switched to these Prevue cages for a number of reasons. The main reasons I love them is that they are lightweight, extremely easy to assemble and disassemble, and super easy to clean. Just generally very useful. When I bought our first one, I put it together in less than two minutes. Most people don't even need to look at the directions. It's also easy to take off. This makes it ideal for on the go. In contrast to other cells, this one is very "airy" and lets in a lot of light. Some of the others I've had use thick bars on the corners and doors and this makes the cage look less open and darkens it a bit. When cleaning, I like that I don't need seed protection. Because the bottom pan is quite deep, most of the food and waste ends up on the bottom of the cage rather than on the outside. I wipe down the cages daily and they are very easy to keep clean and tidy. I prefer play cages but since these don't exist I just found tabletop play stands and attached them to the top of the cage. There are plenty of these at Revain or at local bird shops. I have an Indian ringneck on one and a mustachioed parrot on the other. They are similar in size and I probably wouldn't use these cages for anything larger, especially a parrot that can chew through fairly thin bars. I think my two parrots have plenty of space. My only complaint might be the food cups and food cup doors. Cups are small and located closer to the bottom of the cage. This is not a good idea as parrots tend to be on top of the cage and end up going to the toilet with their own food/water bowl. This is easily remedied by purchasing other feeding bowls and attaching them to the desired location. If you have a smart parrot like me, they will quickly learn that they can easily open feeder doors. I've used zip ties to keep them closed and it's worked so far. I bought stands for these cages and it makes them easy to move around. I've read reviews of the stand and seen complaints of the shelf falling out when moving the stand. If that's stopping you from buying a stand, don't be. When assembling the stand, tighten the screws. If you do this, you shouldn't have a problem pulling out the shelf. Overall, while not as pretty as some of the other cages, this is a great purchase!
