Review on 🌿 Eco-Friendly Ekobrew 100 Count Paper Filter - Compatible with Most Reusable Filters for Keurig and K-Cup - White by Jamie Lewis

Revainrating 4 out of 5

What happened to Ecobru?

The first order for these worked perfectly. They even sent me an extra box (mistake? Maybe, but I'm very grateful). Would give 4-5 stars. However, my second order is a completely different story. One in three filters breaks due to a weak point in the filter and the dregs end up in my stainless steel Ekobrew filter. The main reason for paper filters is that the coffee I use has a very fine grit that goes through the metal holes. The filters also looked a bit different, I would say cheaper. I don't know if it was just a bad batch or if they use cheaper materials. I emailed Ekobrew regarding this and never got a reply which I think is a bad deal. If I get an answer from them and they get it right, I'll give them higher stars. To be honest the first order was 4 or 5 stars for me but this second order was a deal breaker. I hope I get an answer and I hope the filters are the same quality as when I first ordered them. **UPDATE 8/23/15** So I still haven't received a response from Ekobrew (thanks to customer service). However, I saw filters for a sale price of $5.99 instead of the $7.99 price I had previously paid, so I decided to give it another try. This time the filters were of the same quality as my first order. I don't know if the problems with the filters I got with my second order were an accident or if I got lucky again (because the support team didn't respond). They are quite thick, but I think this is necessary so that they don't drip everywhere. The pressure of the seal and the flow of water pushes the water through the filter rather than the drip filter of a traditional coffee maker. I've also uploaded a few photos to demonstrate how I use them in my Ekobrew stainless steel filter, as many will fit. It's easy to do if you haven't already gotten your hands on those cheap crappy filters I got on my second order. Simply iron out two creases. Insert the filter and make sure the two folds you unfolded are closer to you. Then take your thumb and press the crease you just created against the filter wall and it works like a charm. Despite the lack of response from customer service, I'm increasing my rating from 1 star to 4 stars. However, if I get another bad batch, it goes under again.

Pros
  • Fully biodegradable and environmentally friendly. Get the coffee you want without hurting anyone or anything.
Cons
  • I don't remember but there was something
