Review on 🚲 Thomson Elite Bike Seatpost by Eric Ross

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Fantastic craftsmanship

I slowly built my own Hot Rod CX all-terrain bike. With this build, I strive for absolute perfection, so I carefully select each component. The requirements for each component are simple: they must perform extremely well and look fantastic. Next came the seat post. I've been thinking about a few different seatposts for the past few days. Should I switch to carbon? Should I switch to aluminum? Which brand should I take? What color? My research kept coming back to the Thomson, which seems to be the gold standard for a truly reliable, no-frills, yet amazing seatpost, so I ordered it. This item is perfect! Workmanship, quality and workmanship are well above average. I really understand how easy it is to adjust the saddle angle. I've always had trouble getting seatposts right in the past, but with Thomson it's painlessly easy. I can't understand why this isn't the standard way to adjust the angle, other seatposts make the adjustment too complicated and cumbersome. Yes, the Elite isn't the lightest seatpost, but that's not what this build is about. It's an intricately crafted item that will probably outlive me, even if I crash my bike a few times. Then I'll change my stem and you had better believe I'm riding the Thomson (most likely the X4). If you don't mind spending a little more money for something you can be really proud of, I recommend you consider Thomson. This is one of the easiest 5 stars I've ever given, and I'm the annoyingly picky type.
