Waterproof socks have been around for a long time. But since I've seen them for sale, I haven't seen anyone sell them for their practical use, which I think hurts the manufacturers. Maybe someone does, but I haven't seen it myself. There's only one photo of a foot in a sock in the water, and they say it's waterproof. Should I only wear these socks then? I do not think so! But for that I find it invaluable, and I'm sure there are other similar uses for it. I work for a furniture shipping company. If it rains, we still move furniture. We dont care. If my feet are left in wet shoes all day, they get an itchy, scaly rash that doesn't go away for days. What if it rains for several days in a row? My legs really couldn't take it. Why not buy waterproof shoes? Shoes wear out quickly behind mobile furniture. Waterproof shoes are expensive. Waterproof shoes also allow water to pass through the upper and the water is then sealed off with the foot. So I say don't even buy waterproof shoes. I only buy $14 shoes and wear waterproof socks. Then I come to work confidently in the rain and splash carefree through puddles all day long. My feet feel great day after day and my socks last a long time. This is a great option for me and I highly recommend it.
