The remote control was not working when my product was delivered. NEWTRY product support was quick considering there is probably a 12 hour time difference between me in the US and them in China. The issue was resolved with the email instructions on how to re-pair the connection between the wireless remote and the winch. This really required opening up the winch case to get to the circuit board. It was easy to do. Now it works fine. The manual is very short and misspelled in English. NEWTRY has confirmed that the manual contains an error stating that the wireless remote uses infrared (IR) signals. No, it uses radio frequency (RF). The instructions could be better prepared in English and should also contain instructions for repairing the connection and installing (service info) the supplied motor carbon brushes if the original ones are worn out. Outside. Now that I've been inside it looks well built. I suspect the noise is coming from the gearbox and not the electric motor. But the important thing here is that the product support was prompt and they seemed to be trying hard to keep you happy. This winch, made in China, is available from other suppliers and comes in a variety of colors. It seems that this is not a NEWTRY exclusive product. As far as I could find online this is the only wireless winch available.
