I bought these shorts because I needed running shorts to hold my phone in. The case holds my iPhone 8 perfectly and stays in place while running. And the small zippered back pocket is perfect for car keys. The fit/cut on them turned out to be near perfect. I'm a medium (5'6", 147, athletic build) I was concerned that they would be bulky and fuller than necessary like many running shorts, but they are really short and flattering. The outer layer covers the bottom short. Athletic shorts that aren't always suitable for running while the bottom layer saves you from having to worry about whether your butt is covered while you run or live.You can be a little prone to wedge when you run, but it can happen if you're in short tight spandex running gym shorts and it was really good.Overall I really like them and actually I only took them out of the wash to put them back on :D
