You'll absolutely crush the curves of your butt, but the phone pocket is great. I can easily run with an iPhone in my pocket and wired headphones. They don't fit snugly around my legs to ride up so the spandex part is starting to ride up my leg, but I wouldn't size down around the waist. The outer fabric also creases easily. However, these are my training shorts!

I love, love, love these shorts. They are super comfortable and fit great. They have yoga shorts built in the same color as the outer shell with a back pocket that holds my iphone 11 in place. They also have a zippered back waist pocket for cards, cash or keys. The quality is also excellent. I'm 5ft 2in, 140lbs and ordered a medium size, it fits perfectly. I really like the design of the shorts but the sizing is wrong and I need to change the size. I'm 5'7" and about 119 pounds. I originally ordered these shorts in a medium size but returned them because the spandex was too loose. I then ordered the small ones and they felt good to put on but felt like crazy when I actually walked in them. The spandex worked its way up my legs until everything was balled up.
