Update: It is now June 19th 2018, six months later and the lock has failed. Putting the rest of the key in the mortise lock does not allow, I had to open the fob from the rear doors to get in to remove the lock to open the side door. Upon inspection, the lock appears to be stuck, unable to insert the key into the lock and/or lever the deadbolt from the inside. The lock is clearly junk, only had problems from the start, had to return it when the keys wouldn't turn both locks, now I have to buy another one. The lock arrived on time on December 30, 2017. On a recent Sunday afternoon I installed a lock that looked and matched the original. Both keys were very sharp on the edges and I struggled to get both into the locks. Last Monday I was trying to open the side door of the trailer that had this new lock installed and one of the keys broke in the main lock which operates the deadbolt without even putting much force on the key. In the next few hours I was finally able to remove the broken piece of key from the lock without damaging the lock. I believe the key that broke off was originally defective. But right from the start I noticed that both keys had trouble turning the locks and I even undid the screws holding the lock in the door to see if that would help, which didn't. In any case, I used a very small file to lightly file down the sharp edges of the remaining key, thinking this might help the keys turn the locks without feeling like the lock always behaves like this, like it sticks when the keys are turned, that helped a bit. , but the remaining key still wants to get stuck if you don't wiggle the key as you turn it. From the start both keys were hard to get into keylocks and you had to wiggle them to turn the keys and the deadbolt lock had to wiggle a lot to get the keys out and turn. Even after filing off the sharp edges of the remaining key, there are still problems turning the lock and removing the key from that lock. The castle looks great from the outside but there are problems inside, not happy at all.
