My dog is getting a little old and has trouble getting in and out of the SUV. The product is quite light, but at the same time durable. Can be a bit awkward to open, always feel like I'll pinch my fingers. That being said, I'm not sure if there's any other way to avoid this problem but still fold it down to a relatively small size. The ramp has a non-slip material that feels just like sandpaper. My dog didn't mind, but another dog might have a problem with it. It sits on the edge of the bumper and has a strap that attaches to a metal loop where the door closes. I've never worried about the ramp slipping off the bumper, but the strap is long enough that if it ever slips, it will likely fall six to eight inches before the clamp will stop it. All in all this is a great product. Even though my dog is only 50 pounds, the materials are made in such a way that I think it will fit larger dogs as well.
