Review on Motorcraft CX1775 Idle Control Motor by James Roper

I just installed this Motorcraft IAC on my engine and the engines now idle like new

Ok guys I hope I can help those of you who own a 2000-04 Ford Focus gg. DOHC engine. This is my Motorcraft CX1775 review, the actual part number on the part itself is YL8U-9F715-AB or AC. I just installed this Motorcraft IAC on my engine and the engines now idle like new. DO NOT USE Standard or other IAC brands, I am 100% sure they will not work. For that, it costs $121.20. IT WORKS because it is an original part and design. The original idle control valve on my 02 Focus zetec dohc ran out about 2 months ago, the engine just wouldn't idle and died. So of course I went with the cheaper standard IAC brand at my local father and son parts store. After installing this part, the engine will run at very high and very low idle speed and stop the engine. With the A/C on, this caused erratic idling and sometimes stalling. These IACs are clearly not computer compatible with these engines, although they appear to have been designed for these engines. The engine MUST BE COLD. Removing the IAC from the intake is easy. I did it for science. Step One: Stand in front of the car on the ramp. Step 2: Remove the entire airbox and tube. Step 3: Disconnect the battery negative cable to be safe. Step 4: Go under the car, you will see an open area between the starter, axle shaft and oil filter. Step 5: Locate the IAC inside the MAN intake valve, two screws hold it in place. Use a 5/16 socket, preferably with the smallest possible drive, and unscrew it. Step 6: Once it's unscrewed, get out from under the car, stand up, remove the IAC and unplug it. Step 7: Get organized with the new Motrocraft IAC and enjoy smooth idling again!
