This is probably the best way to hang pictures, assuming your intended wall is what it was designed for, which is drywall with an empty space behind it. If there is a bobby pin or other hard object within 3 inches of the drywall, you will need a more traditional hanger. They leave a hole the size of a small nail but require no tools to install and are VERY secure and will support heavier paintings (use 2 or more for very heavy frames). The "flush" hooks only stick out of the wall about 1/4 inch, and you get 10 of them. Save them for items you really want to push closer to the wall. I recommend getting a nail finder to make sure you pick a good spot to insert. and then choose where to hang the pictures. I have several large, heavy frames that even hung a heavy ironwood didgeridoo. I've been using them for years and have never had any problems. A NOTICE. If you're trying to be very precise with the frame (which I usually do), measure from the bottom of the hook to where it protrudes from the wall. The bottom of the hook is usually about 1/4 inch below the hole in the wall. So aim as high as you can when you stick the hook in the wall and you're sure to hit.
