The magnets are too strong for the double sided tape -
These are great for closing wooden cabinet doors to wooden cabinet frames where you can secure the magnets with screws. But if the door is, say, thin plexiglas requiring the use of the double-sided tape that is supplied, the tape gets pulled off by the strength of the magnets -- not immediately, but after several times opening the door.
