The wooden hook is very good. The wooden handle feels very solid, with a smooth finish that fits my hand perfectly. The curved handle is very comfortable to use for a long time, not bulky or heavy like some wooden hooks. Now the plastic hook is pretty much the polar opposite of the wooden hook. While the pink pen looks cute, it feels awkward and awkward. The handle is straight, maybe that's why it seems strange, but I crochet and almost always use a straight handle crochet hook. The plastic doesn't seem to last long either. I can't say exactly now but that's my impression. Overall the quality of the wooden hook is far superior to the plastic and for me it was worth it which is why I'm giving it four stars. I would save the plastic for an emergency, for an emergency with a latch, that's funny! Enjoy!
