The gravel is VERY loose and was covered in mysterious oil

The first package I got had more gravel in the damn box than on the paper PLUS there were those weird oil stains on the paper. Obviously you don't want to give little birds anything with mystery oil, so I asked for a replacement. The swap wasn't any better with all that loose sand, but at least it was oil-free. It's cheaper than others, so it's there, but it's just a cut above the regular (free!) newspaper.
