Bought two (front and back door) and the chains in between were different lengths. An extra link meaning it was longer. The fit of the "ball" or "tab" that engages the slider is too loose; keeps falling out of the bracket on the post. However, both chains were too long; The person I wanted to prevent from getting in could reach out and move the "latch". Both repaired; Remove 3 links from one and 4 links from the other. Used a dremel rotary tool to cut a tiny spot weld and open up the joint; twice per chain. Just bend the open links in place; IMO strong enough without that tiny spot weld. Now the door can't open far enough to get your hand and wrist in far enough to move the latch that far! Hey, I was sitting still outside the door when it happened! The neighbor's dog warned me that "someone" entered my backyard right through that door.
