It protects well, but the silicone piece often slips on the back where you rest the stylus.

I bought it for my new iPad and it is well protected. That. The plastic left a lot of blisters no matter how carefully I tried to put it on. The only issue I had was where the purple silicone part needs to sit under the pen, the side with the pen holder keeps pulling away from where it is supposed to sit. To be honest this is the only complaint I have. I've dropped my iPad a few times, slipped on something and the like, and the case has protected it well.
