I really don't like buying foreign made flags or patriotic memorabilia so I was very happy that the seller (ePartStore) recommended this hitch case MADE IN USA has confirmed! I bought the red/silver/blue version and it looks very sharp on my black SUV. The aluminum emblem is chrome plated with a paint finish and mounted on a powder coated solid metal bracket. The mount is 1/16 inch thick, weighs about a pound and is very strong. The mount has three mounting options for 5/8 receiver pins at 1.5", 2" and 2.5" from the back of the metal plate. Includes foam padding to reduce rattling. The 3.5" width would be small , but the bright colors make it stand out and the size makes it flimsy. To ensure this emblem stays on your truck I would suggest fitting a lock with a key on the receiver. This Connor Towing 1615280-NEW Stainless Steel 5/8" Class I, II, III, IV receiver lock was slightly larger than the others, but received excellent reviews - especially against lock rust. I had a small cosmetic problem with the emblem, the seller (ePartStore) immediately found a solution. Great communication. If I can suggest and most of us understand this, always keep the emblem clean - it's not just an emblem. Absolutely to suggest. One of the best car accessory buys in recent memory.
