Durable, fast! Perfect for streaming content!

High quality, does exactly what it promises. Quick and easy installation. It's super quick, easy and brings joy to the whole house! Ideal for streaming content and easily supports ISP plans up to 300Mbps. We paired it with the new Tenda Wi-Fi router, which offers dual-band, an excellent interface (1 gigabit and USB ports for sharing flash memory files), high wireless data transfer speed (300 Mbit / s + 867 Mbit / s) and a second frequency has high. It all adds up to a recipe for uninterrupted speed and reliability throughout the home. As a buyer, I take responsibility for reading and cross-referencing. I don't expect everyone to spoon feed me. . NETGEAR did a good job laying out important performance-related details and product features. Easy to read and follow. My husband left this purchase to me (an upgraded cable modem separate from an upgraded wireless router). I've spent time educating myself and learning because our cable, streaming and internet demands are strict and high (especially given that due to pandemic protocols etc work we do and the tv entertainment and streaming that we operate. I read details about Netgear products and warranties (along with numerous brands and models with different price points) and also read hundreds of reviews. I then decided on the best choice for our home. Ultimately, you must, as with all cable and internet related products and services, test YOUR unique setup and circumstances for the use and performance YOU need in YOUR home including YOUR modem Connect your cable modem to a compatible wireless router with desired speed, bandwidth, download -speed etc. as you get more flexibility if the modem is separated from your wireless router is. Overall performance considerations: home location of YOUR ISP, coverage, and speed of service. in YOUR home with YOUR devices, the type of whole-home coverage you need and the number of devices you need to connect at the same time and at any given time. For us, we paired a Netgear CM600 with a Tenda AC10U wireless router. The connection is strong, stable, ultra-fast and reliable for up to 14 devices (TVs, computers, phones, printers, iPad, Kindle, Bluetooth) that we have connected. 24/7 now. Sometimes there will be more devices. Up to 30 devices can be connected at the same time for super-fast speed. Along with a 4+ star rating, a great user interface and a 1 year warranty (wish it was longer, at least 2-3 years) the investment in the price makes it an incredible "and some more"- Purchase! I placed the order at the right time of supply and demand. Saved 46% or $60 on a new Netgear modem (it's up 20% 5 days later, but the 28% savings are still worth it). I noticed that it can no longer be purchased directly from the Netgear website. I don't know if this indicates the end of its production. In any case, it is a reliable technology with excellent quality features. By upgrading to our separate modem/WiFi setup, it pays for itself in less than 5-8 months, and I'm saving $168-$300 a year by NOT leasing any hardware (which isn't that powerful) from my internet company. Excellent investment in every way! I've taken the time to write a more detailed review in the hopes that it will help someone else like me who is trying to appreciate all the critical details of how I was "forced" to do this. 😁

Pros
  • DOCSIS 3.0 cable modem with 1 Gigabit Ethernet port. DOCSIS 3.0 delivers 8x faster download speeds than DOCSIS 2.0
Cons
  • I vaguely remember
