Perfect BMW DIY Wheel Bearing Head

I bought this monster head to replace the front wheel bearing on my BMW E46 and it did the job perfectly. I'm not sure how often I have to use this guy, but it looks like he can handle anything I throw at him. I've rented it out twice before (further wheel bearing rebuilds) and it came back to me with no major wear. The coating hasn't cracked, the teeth haven't slipped, it's not cracked or warped—even with over 200 ft-lbs of torque. That's a tight socket in my head. And even if you don't use it every day for big tasks, you could probably carry it in your purse or something and use it for self-defense (it's a solid piece of metal!). Edit: February 26, 2013. The socket is still holding up and has been loaned out about a dozen times, all for an E46 front wheel bearing change. Definitely worth $$.

Pros
  • Custom Drive Heads
Cons
  • Not as thick as other kits
