I bought these to find a leak in my Subaru A/C, it loses freon and stops working every year and I got tired of charging it over and over again. I tried to find the leak with UV light but it didn't work. So I decided on this fog machine. I already have a Romondes OBDII scanner that I really like, so I decided to try another product from the same manufacturer and I wasn't disappointed! The device is well made, has a full metal body and a hook for attaching to the hood latch. All in all it looks like a professional quality instrument that is made to last. It's easy to set up and run. You'll need to hook it up to your car's 12-volt battery, hook up an air compressor, and pour some baby oil or mineral oil into the cylinder to get it running. It is best to work in a well-ventilated area or outdoors, otherwise you will inhale the oil that is dispersed in the air. Nothing more to say, it's really very easy to use, you won't have any problems trust me. Perfomance. Well, it certainly produces a lot of smoke! The amount of smoke depends on your air compressor and the oil you use. Also make sure that the outlet tube is properly connected to the system being diagnosed. The connection must be tightly sealed in order for this machine to build up enough internal pressure and push out smoke and air for a leak to be visible. Any loose connection will cause this to fall off. Air pressure in the system to be diagnosed, making it impossible to determine the location of the leak.*** Conclusion ***Yes, I definitely recommend this smoke machine! This little device works as it should and produces a lot of smoke, making it very easy to find leaks. It is well made and easy to set up and use.
