Decent price, don't overtighten straps

The product seems worthy considering all the negative reviews. I haven't washed it yet or spilled anything on it; My 90-pound chocolate lab uses futons more than anyone else. What I can say is that I had to adjust the straps once and place them where they made the most sense, I originally had both straps on the back of the futon, I have since moved one to the crease. The reason was to prevent the landing part of the cover from slipping. The purpose of this cover was to protect the futon from further wear and tear, I bought it used and the faux leather is peeling off, understand and also hides the deformity of the peeling. Basically, since I adjusted the straps, it stays pretty good even when my niece and nephew come to visit. I should probably wash it soon but it still looks clean so I'm taking my time. I wanted to write this review because I think the thing is excellent for the money spent. I didn't over tighten the straps, I don't know why anyone would, they are elastic for some reason so my metal clips didn't break. I really like the quilted pattern, it definitely looks better than a shedding problem futon. I thought I had ordered dark gray but this lighter option came along and it really works with my existing pillows. Ignore the mess, I'll paint and freshen up the apartment. Also no problem using this on a "leather" futon, it doesn't slip as expected. I also oiled the faux leather to make it last longer and make it slippery to the touch. I don't think most people will regret the money they save. Also, my lab's nails are way too long and so far no problems with breakage or holes.
