I have no doubt that they cost almost twice as much as genuine brake pads at your local auto parts store. I replaced the second set of pads on my Xterra with them, which had about 50% life left. I definitely needed a full brake flush and wasn't very happy with the truck's braking performance as it was. I've only driven 500 miles with these pads now. which is much less than the 1-3000 mile rest time according to EBC. They already have better initial bite and feel than the original lasts. I hauled about 880 pounds of concrete in the back of a truck last week and it brakes better than the original pads and the empty truck and they are very, very quiet. Review, but with my summer projects slowing down I won't be accomplishing anything big any time soon. Overall I am happy with the purchase and would do it again. I didn't notice the dust issue mentioned by the other reviewer, but it was hard for me to tell because my truck stays pretty dirty, washing just gives me a "clean truck" day
