It was rolled so tight on one end that it'll never ever be flat in my room. and that is very irritating. They should have rolled it around a piece of cardboard or something to make it not quite so folded at the ends. Haven't taken it home yet. I can't tell if it's soft because honestly it doesn't seem to be the type of carpet that would be soft. I can't tell if it's stain resistant because I haven't even put it on the floor yet. Still trying to figure out how I'm going to get it to lay flat. Was going to put it in my kitchen and I don't know how I'm going to get it to flatten out. Pretty aggravated about that. So buyer beware, unless you got a couch to sit on it, it's probably always going to be rumpled and not lie flat
