(SEE UPDATE 12-17 BELOW) I haven't fully completed the installation yet but thought I'd check after about 2 weeks. To fit my 98 Saturn I had to physically cut the bezel in the dash kit to fit the radio. I knew about this when I got involved in the project, so it wasn't a surprise. I set out shortly after installation and didn't have time to install the rear camera. I will do this when I get home. Also, the microphone built into this device is VERY bad. I ordered an external microphone and plan to install it along with the rear camera. It took me a while to get used to Android 7, but I like it. Smooth operation and the system boots very quickly. I contacted my local cell phone provider and they couldn't give me a key. I'm beginning to think this isn't the answer. Using my phone as a hotspot and connecting to the internet works amazingly well. I stopped looking for the key. I have no idea how to update the navigation map. When I play with it on a known route, I often drive on roads that the program doesn't know. Google Maps works well but is not that user friendly and requires more attention. I'm sure I can refine Google Maps over time, but I would have preferred the included navigation software. I am testing this very early and will update more as I use it. I really like this product. I'll have to install two more in my other machines when I get back to base and have time. (12-17) Been using this for 5 months now. I finally found the time to install the rear camera. I'm also considering buying a DVR. I want to install with diodes to use the lockout switch to turn on the rear camera and not the other way around. This will come in handy when I install the F150. Now I'm used to the Android 7.1 system, it's still different from the phone, but now I can work with minimal roadside stops so as not to be distracted. The built-in microphone in the device is unusable. I bought an external microphone that I mounted next to my head in the headliner and it works fine with Google. I'm not using the sat nav card that came with the kit. I was never able to update it, and when I figured out how to replace the navigation button function to launch Google Maps, I had no reason to play with Navi. Google Maps has saved me several times by notifying me of an impending accident and rerouting me, saving me hours of waiting. access point. As long as I remember to turn on the hotspot before starting the car, everything is fine. I saved some music to an external USB drive just in case, but I was usually able to listen to my Sirius WiFi account at any time. I haven't used terrestrial radio for many years and forgot to connect a terrestrial radio antenna so I can't test it. I'll pocket it this time when I pull out the camera mount. I can say the radio has a solid 4 stars until the camera is installed and as I am 98% sure I will be installing a dashcam if it happens. ok, i can give a good rating. I have to deduct a very small percentage of a star because while preparing to install the camera I found that the manual was not available online. I have the manual for one of the other units I bought for the F150 and after some searching around the store to get the box I was able to find the manual and scan it. Now that it's stored electronically, I probably won't need to use it again. The document that came with the device said that if I gave it 4 stars or more, I would get an extra warranty. I have never received any documentation after evaluating a product. I still think it deserves a solid 4. I tried to attach the PDF manual. That didn't work and I can only attach 20 photos. I will work on arranging the pages with 2 pages per sheet. I also want to make a video. I will walk you through installing the camera and intend to make a short video covering the basics.
