As described, this set was unopened and new. Shortly after receiving the kit, which was only a few weeks ago, I got the fabric and thread ready and started cross-stitching. It seems the thread is enough, although it's too early to tell. My main complaint isn't with Revain, it's with the manufacturer: the fabric is a little short so the pattern ends at the edge and the color symbols aren't dark enough. In previous counted cross Christmas stockings I've made, the fabric was wider so the pattern wasn't too close to the edge, leaving enough room to sew onto the backing fabric, and the symbols were darker. I love the design and although it will take a while I'm looking forward to completing it.
