I was ready to be disappointed because I received a bunch of lighters that were disappointing. I use a medical marijuana lighter that I smoke from various pipes. Although this differs from tonacco in that you rarely need to press down on the bowl, you do need to stir the contents to keep it burning evenly. Here are two tricky things that kept me from giving 5 stars: First, the flame setting is pretty tight. Only a few adjustments were needed to get the adjusting nut right. I could imagine an adjustment screw that's easier to turn and measure with some kind of indicator. Simple lines with a dot on the screw head will do. It's an inconvenience, but unlike lower quality lighters, this lighter needs adjustment as the fuel level goes down. I specifically want a soft flame because the jet flame burns too hot. The second small disadvantage is the design of the poker. The shape corresponds too closely to the inner slot into which it is folded. When it's flat I can't get it out without something small slipping underneath. I keep my nails trimmed short so they're of little use. I was able to solve this problem easily with a small vise. I bend the poker so that it curves slightly to give my fingers enough room to grip the poker. If the lighter still works as well I may upgrade to 5 stars.
