We ordered based on chest measurements because we have a whippet and they have a deep chest - XL for a 24 inch chest. The suit fits perfectly with little leeway. Used to dress up for her 4th birthday as there aren't many dresses for girls her size. The suit was cute and well made, but the hat not so much. There were sticky threads everywhere and the editions were small. It also doesn't stay upright so it's like melted icing and fits like a beret. In general I recommend it since I only paid $14.
