That's what they're made for. Worked perfectly and stopped a previous manifold gasket leak. Maintain the correct torque specs or you will run it and it will start leaking. It's also easy to break off one of the header bolts. Remember to apply a VERY THIN layer of the "correct material" around the water holes on the gasket. This will ensure that there are no leaks. Management says no. If you want to play it safe and don't have to take it down again, do it.
