I was skeptical about buying this for my 17 month old £20 but we were desperate for something that could get her underwater. My children suffer from "need freedom at all costs” syndrome and unfortunately that means my child would literally drown rather than be kept in the water or kept afloat. We tried all the baby rafts on the market but unfortunately she just screamed and screamed. She loves the water but doesn't want to get stuck in a crib or in our arms. We have a Sterns sweater for our eldest daughter and while we love it it is way too big at 20 pounds. We bought this on the advice of a friend. What an escape (funny pun). Okay, maybe not a real lifesaver. It is only approved from 30-50 pounds. Don't throw your 20 pound baby in the pool with this thing and walk away. (End of disclaimer.) I digress, our kid loves it. She was free to swim, pounding her little thundering hips while happily keeping her head above water. The point of the story is that this is an awesome floating toy for babies who are too young to jump into Sterns puddle while the adults are supervising and close by.
