To be honest I should have trusted the reviews. Someone on one of my plant-related Facebook groups recommended this for my plant cabinet to control humidity. After about a week of use it is leaking from the base (a little, but still) and the hygrometer on this unit is stuck at 95% while other hygrometers in my closet read 60%! To turn the device back on, I have to set the humidity to 100% and then turn it off when I feel it's humid enough. I have to keep doing this to get the humidity I'm looking for in my closet considering Geeni literally thinks it's ALWAYS 95%. Will definitely come back as it's very annoying.
