Bought it mainly for gaming. When I first set it up, the lyrics looked so harrowing it was hard on the eyes. Lowered the sharpness in the monitor settings, adjusted the brightness and contrast, and it helped. This monitor is definitely not designed to read documents. It is great for streaming and playing video games. I especially like it for FPS. I felt it really enhanced the experience. I haven't had it for a very long time; so I don't know yet if it will survive in the long run. I'm satisfied so far. I also had to run DVI to HDMI and had no problems.
