I take a lot of photos and also make videos remotely. The availability of a power source is fairly rare in many of these remote areas. So I buy spare UPS batteries and put them (safely) in my tote bags. This type of connection allows me to charge the batteries while driving using my car/van/truck's cigarette lighter socket or solar source. They then also serve to use the inverter for charging and/or to keep my photo equipment and its accessories fully charged and ready. The fuses built into this device provide additional protection against the specified devices and accessories being burned out. Worth the price.
