Nice setup, reasonable and efficient.

This collar is a worthy product for its price. Shock collars are not new to me. When used correctly, they are an excellent tool. I've found that positive reinforcement usually produces the best end result. In situations where there is potential danger and you need to listen to a command quickly but are being ignored due to a more important distraction, these collars are a great reminder. You don't have to use a strong shock, vibration often shows focus. I often start my training with a warning tone after a voice command. If the beep doesn't stop them, then the vibration will. If it still doesn't work I'll try another beep and then turn it off. It sounds like a long process, but the mode button switches modes quickly. You just need to preset your settings and the mode button will use those presets. Each setting has over 100 levels. That's a good amount. The key is that you want to start with the lowest settings. The idea is not to torture the animal. But use a level of correction that doesn't make them anxious, but is so annoying that they don't want to experience it on a regular basis. they are looking for. So you should be aware of how you practice giving verbal warnings in the first place. So far it has been an effective tool. However, there are a few things I don't like about the model I received. What can I do without in this price range? The first problem I encountered was assembly. Tip: Remember to charge the collar 6 hours before putting the collar on. Waistband and hasp are not supplied pre-assembled. This means that you have to manually attach the collar to the mechanism. The problem is that the design doesn't require a lot of collar movement. So you have to bend the two straps in half together and try to skip them. This process is the greatest pain. It took me 45 minutes. I gave up and asked my husband to try at 15. He quit and told me to give up. I tried 10 more and finally got this one. You must include or pre-attach a tool. But once it's set up, I definitely won't take it off. The second issue I found was charging with the collar on. The device I received does not charge as shown in the photos. So I must have gotten an older model. The model I received requires you to slide the collar forward and insert the charging cable into the hole which is in the same place where you thread the collar. It's not very accessible and will be a problem for those who don't have good arm strength, such as B. Elderly people. My third problem with this unit (and it's a problem with many of the collars I've tried) is that the remote turns off too quickly to save battery. So you need to plan your actions in advance. I often try to press the light button every 10-15 seconds to try and keep the remote active. I've never understood why manufacturers think it's a good idea to allocate at least 1 minute or give them the opportunity to reduce the training time available. Either way, workouts need to be short to be effective. Maximum 10-20 minutes. All in all it is so good for this price that I would buy it again. I've used more expensive models and had similar issues. I can't give 5 stars due to the setup process. But once built, it does what it's supposed to do and generally has a lot of flexibility for tweaking. Oh yes, and a note. Your "small" races do not include "miniature" races. So don't forget to measure. However, if you have a smaller breed like mine, they are not as hard on the collar as large dogs. The work I used was to fold the collar and use packing tape to secure the fold. It worked well but I didn't use it in wet situations.
