Review on Nascar Scanners: Enhance Your Experience with the Racing Headset's Noise Cancelling Technology by Daniel Ogbebor

Inexpensive but needs improvement

Value for the quality you get. However, if you are close to the track, they will not suffice. I opened mine up, filled them with foam and sealed them with silicone and it helped a lot, but they're still not good enough to stand on the curb near the corner. If you're on a straight stretch of track they'll be fine with foam padding inside, but you'll have too much time in a corner if you can't hear anything. I believe if you used the built in headphone amp it would be better, but if you do you would be much better off buying a better designed headset. I didn't give 1 star because it's not advertised that highly. a quality headset and I didn't give it 5 stars because after buying it you will understand why better headphones cost more. So if you buy these, do yourself a favor and buy the $1.99 Trim Foam Air Conditioner from Lowes. and slip it behind the speaker for a massive upgrade. But if you really want to hear well, shell out another $50 and buy a higher quality headset.

Pros
  • High marks for support and durability from testers
Cons
  • Not as thick as other options
