I've had similar anchors that weren't stainless steel and some of them rusted while this one didn't. Slots in the rails of my bed, they're fastened well enough for the load. Not sure if my fit is due to my splints or wrong choice of anchors, but I doubt it's a manufacturing issue - they're all the same and clean.
