Both sets are defective

I ordered two sets of these, 4 sticks in total. Before you read, I would like to point out that I tried every troubleshooting step with both before coming to this conclusion (update BIOS, clear CMOS, overwrite SPD data, try different slots, etc.). The first set was defective for two reasons. First, the RGB lighting is chosen when it wants to respond to the ASUS Aura software, which it claims to be compatible with. Second, the RAM itself was defective and my computer would slow down for a few hours after each boot. The second set had the same backlight issue. Apparently ASUS software can corrupt RAM according to others with this issue, in which case G.SKILL should stop listing the software as compatible, or maybe it's my motherboard which in turn shouldn't be listed as compatible if that's the case. I have an ASUS ROG Strix Z370-A motherboard. If you have this motherboard, avoid this RAM.
