I had privacy tape for a while as we live in a high traffic area. Unfortunately, I'm the only one who likes the current film including cats BC. .Therefore, this mirror film seemed to be the ideal solution. It's great in daylight because you can see outside. work for our location. Just a foot away from a window, the interior light turns on to allow a view of the outside even in daylight. At night, when the interior lights are on, you can fully see the interior from the outside. Imagine a skyscraper. At night you can clearly see from the street. So if you want remote or top floor seclusion during the day this is great and definitely protects from the sun. A+ for cooling. However, if you want privacy or want to prevent anyone from peeking through the window, you may want to explore other options. Not only can someone see at night, but you also can't see them through the inky tint. We tested it. For more privacy, my previous film (pictured) is Coavas. I've been using it for over 2 years with no problems. Also use Rabitgoo on other windows with good privacy and sunlight. In fact, I reapplied Coavas to the top window on top of this film for privacy. If you choose this window film, here are some application tips. A wet sponge with a bowl of water is much cleaner than a spray bottle. The reason you should wet the film and window is so you can slide the film over it to get a snug fit. Also, the movie will fight you and want to roll back after cutting. Once you remove the cellophane backing, the foil will lay perfectly flat. Also, don't worry if the foil sticks to itself when peeling off the cellophane. It doesn't stick until it gets wet. Worn once it looks professional. Finally, a silicone spatula works well for smoothing out blisters, and an Exacto knife is your friend. Cut out the frame, not the window, and press against the window seam. I'm not deducting stars for the full interior view at night because the product page says so. What I didn't realize was that I wouldn't see someone sneaking up on me. You may want to read all of the information on the page carefully before making your final decision.
