Quartzite for seed grits, granite for grits compared to Manna Pro

I ordered a bag of grits and a bag of grits, it's interesting to compare the grits to each other and to Manna Pro grits. At first glance, the contents of Scratch and Peck Grower and Chicken Groats differ in that the Grower appears to be an all-white quartzite, while the Chicken appears to be more of a brownish-pink granite. I'm certainly not a geologist, but the difference is worth noting. The chicken has a finer powder at the bottom of the bag (not a problem for me). These are for custom potting soil mixes, so I'll have to report on the 'quality' of the plants and drainage later. The breeder's grain size was more consistent than the Manna Pro and slightly smaller on average. If quantity is important to you and color doesn't matter to you (Manna Pro is more of a grey-blue-pink) this product gives you great bang for your buck and you're probably better off ordering direct from Tractor Supply Co. Even with the shipping costs, the total per bag is lower than here. and if you order two or more bags at once, you will save a lot of money. UPDATE: White Crumble Grower doesn't look good after a while if you use it as a pot plant fertilizer. I also bought another pack of Manna Pro and it was a much finer grit than my original purchase, more like that chicken grit.
