Our second Devonshire tap - chrome finish and low water pressure issues

We chose Kohler Devonshire taps when we remodeled our 1930's house in 2004. In less than 10 years, the original faucet's chrome finish has corroded. On the plus side: #1) I'm glad Kohler still makes Devonshire style faucets so we were able to purchase other fixtures. #2) It took our plumber less than an hour to install it and it looks beautiful. On the other hand, and the reason I don't give it five stars is because: #1). I expected a Kohler faucet that cost over $100 in 2004 to last at least 20 years. I had very old Kohler equipment in my previous home with no corrosion issues, so I chose Kohler for our renovation. I was very surprised to find spots of rust that were actually rusted all over the metal. I take very good care of my house and do not abuse the faucet in any way. #2) I deducted the second star because the water pressure in this new faucet is significantly lower than the 2004 Devonshire faucet. I have to run the water longer to properly wash my hands with soap and water. If the low-pressure aerator was an attempt to save water, I doubt it will work considering how long it takes to rinse your hands. water pressure.
