Review on SENA 30K-01 Motorcycle Bluetooth 🏍️ Headset and Mesh Communication System (Solo) by Aaron Allen

Revainrating 2 out of 5

After more than 2 years I would not recommend

I had 2 different BT communicators for $50. Both worked great. I bought 30k (that's the price) because a buddy I ride with said I blew in his ears every time I talked and 30k was cat meows. Once we receive it, we understand that the only groups you can really talk to are the 30,000 owners. Very limited to BT connections. We prefer BT over Mesh when riding without a large group. Music sharing doesn't work for Jack. I'm using v3.0.1 and after 2 days of research and trying I can't seem to get it to share with m1-s. Oh, and the joy of joys; when connected to another intercom and listening to your music? You will find it turns off for 1 second. Every 2 seconds. I've contacted Sena support, if I ever get it working I'll update this. I wish I could say it works better alone, but it really doesn't. The rotary switch is blunt. If you want to change songs, hold it and rotate it with one hand to do so, an extra ride. Another great part about the dial? I can't find a place that doesn't prevent me from turning the volume up every time I turn left or right, let alone my shoulder. So I will adjust the volume several times while driving. I use an AGV helmet and can hear the music on---perfect as well, but I think it's more of a helmet as people complain about 30k volume. I'll also mention that the silver button on the mount triggers the device, so be careful. The device swings back and forth on the mount. It's not going anywhere and the connection seems fine, just be aware that it's weak. Despite all of that, I feel like you're paying a premium price for something below average. Looking back, I would definitely try something other than Cardo. Heck, maybe even a headphone app

Pros
  • Great price
Cons
  • Big and bulky
