Defective delivery, great concept but don't waste your money

The concept of compostable or recyclable plastic tableware without gasoline is a GREAT CONCEPT. In fact, one Nature Works supplier (who may or may not be affiliated with it) says the cost is the same as oil-based plastic clothing. I think "compostable" adds 345% to each item? No it shouldn't. So why does compostable/recyclable stuff cost $6.99 for 20 packs (34.5 cents or 0.345 per pack, while traditional petroleum products cost about $8.99 for 1000 or 0.0089 per pack or less than 1 cent 0.01) ? So when I got 20 pieces, 5 forks were already broken at that point 5 x 34.5 = 1.72 USD loss already. However, I accepted a broken and unusable knife, tiny spoons that are not of good quality at 34.5 cents each, knowing that 5 forks were already broken on or before delivery. - How difficult can it be? I wasn't happy, not impressed. I think their attractive promotion and avoidance of certain issues made me choose them. Never again. Don't waste your money unless you're happy to throw away almost 2 5 dollar bills for nothing.
