Review on 💧 Vornado MD1-0018 Replacement Ultrasonic Mineral Cartridge - Enhanced Water Quality Maintenance for Your Black Vornado by Anurak Grubb

I have two Vornado humidifiers that use this filter cartridge and have been happy with them for two years. I had two new cartridges in the box from last winter and just got them out for use this season. Each cartridge was placed in a separate bowl of water for soaking as directed. A large quantity of a red-brown substance, similar to fine coffee grounds, leaked from a cartridge and stuck to the bottom of the bowl. I've never experienced that. Since I bought them last year I didn't try to return them, just threw them away. Has anyone else had this experience? It would be interesting to know why. Hopefully this doesn't happen in a new order as we are generally happy with the humidifiers.
