Seems to help with white dust. I throw a little more in the air, but I think it helps. Hopefully this will force water into the air filter, which has been a concern of mine.

I have been using the replacement cartridge for a month and a half now and it works well. A significant reduction in "white dust" in my bedroom. The price is fair. Especially since I only use a humidifier in the winter months. Can be expensive if used all year round.

Soaking according to instructions and filter shed lots of tiny reddish globules then gave off a strange odor after installation. I bought 2 filters and both reacted like this. Told Vornado they said they would send a replacement.

Love both of our Vornado humidifiers that we use downstairs. Works great, easy to clean and maintain in winter. Just order a batch of these filters for the season and we're ready to improve the humidity levels in our mountain home.

The filter smells quite strong when you first use it, even after soaking it in water for a day according to the instructions. Hope the smell goes away soon! It removes all fine dust from the humidifier and one cartridge lasts all winter but I use a very good 3MFF100 water filter to fill the humidifier which removes almost all dust. I will not change this filter again.

I ordered it and one of the boxes was a little broken but it was enough to bend and the extremely hard plastic case was enough to crack the screen with the cleaning crystals. It was imperceptible to the eye but did notice the crystals falling into the water tank and eventually clogging and burning the humidifier motor. Luckily I was able to fix the device and use the second filter, which works fine.

Has a small tear in the top center. Soaked for 24 hours and those little balls have seeped everywhere making it useless. Send it back and buy a replacement. Update: We bought a replacement which was fine until I put it in water. After 20 minutes we had the same problem but more beads this time. I called the manufacturer, confirmed the marriage. They send us a replacement directly so we don't have to risk it again. In the end, both failed filters were sent back to Revain.

Easy to use, easy to clean, easy to fill. The only problem, if I may call it that, is putting the tank back on the car every time. I'm having a hard time making it happen. So I struggle a bit with that every time I have to fill the tank up and put it back in. Once aligned, it goes in really well, but sometimes I get my fingers pinched. I have two Vornado humidifiers that use this filter cartridge and have been happy with them for two years. I had two new cartridges in the box from last winter and just got them out for use this season. Each cartridge was placed in a separate bowl of water for soaking as directed. A large quantity of a red-brown substance, similar to fine coffee grounds, leaked from a cartridge and stuck to the bottom of the bowl. I've never experienced that.
