The Felicificer travel/airplane pillow is made of flexible PVC (polyvinyl chloride), a puncture resistant synthetic polymer plastic. It arrived in a box with 2 pieces (pillow and cover) of fabric folded in flat layers. The pillow material is 30" wide, 18" tall and 6" thick, with two 5" x 6" holes on either end of the sides. Fast inflation and deflation 2 inch diameter plastic hole is located at one end of the pillow. It's easy to breathe into this hole and in no more than 8 breaths I filled the pillow with air. The breathing hole has a good locking mechanism and an outer cover that maintains good air pressure inside for several days. A very soft cover with a fabric surface and Velcro fasteners is slipped over one end of the pillow when inflated and ready for use. The pillow and cover weighs only 11 ounces and folds into a drawstring pouch. In its original position, the pillow consists of 3 folded parts that form a wedge shape and are supported by two flaps with 3 snaps. The two holes come together, allowing the sleeper to insert a hand or two in various positions. I was able to use the side of the pillow on the bed behind my head. I also used an unfolded pillow on the bed for a lower head position. I was able to use the pillow while sitting in a chair by bending my face over the soft fabric end of the pillow first. The pillow can also be used without a zipper on a wedge laid out on a bed or sofa. The pillow is great for our campervan trips and can be used in different positions on the couch, in bed or in the passenger seat. . Would be great for outdoor camping. A pillow would be a good carry-on for long flights when sitting in the tiny seats provided by the airlines. In this case, the cushion occupies the entire space between the passenger and the seat back in front of him. We will be using the Felicifier travel pillow a lot in our RV. In fact, as of the writing of this review, I am using an open pillow for back support. Due to the fact that this is a large soft pillow, we probably can't use it on an airplane. The specs in the buyer's description were exactly as promised which is why I'm giving it a 5 star rating.
