Meets intended functionality with some oddities

Set up my new 2-port dual DVI KVM switch today and it works most of the time. My setup: Windows 10 PC with GeForce 960 graphics Dell Precision 3530 laptop, 2 LG x 24" monitors, nothing fancy Logitech backlit keyboard, Microsoft Sculpt Bluetooth mouse Plug the keyboard into the USB keyboard port on the Switch and type (not all at once, but one at a time) Right Control, Right Control, "B", Enter. Here you will squeak if I remember, and then I'll never have to suffer that awful sound again. - The sound does not start. This switch shouldn't be properly shielded because my speakers make a loud hum when plugged into the switch. At least I leave my desktop connected to my speakers and let the laptop play its own sound.- I have my laptop on via the HDMI output the switch connected with an HDMI to DVI cable as well as the VGA output to a DVI adapter This is probably a problem with the laptop or trying to insert VGA into DVI but VGA is not recognized and only works for me 1 Month. nitor when using a laptop. This should be fixed when my laptop hub arrives later this week. (USB-C to 2 HDMI outputs). When I first tried to get my desktop to work, both monitors said "Out of range, 67.5MHz/60MHz or something similar". Reading the included instructions prompted me to press the EDID button on the front of the switch. After a few blinks, both monitors were working properly. If your laptop has function keys, they will not work when using the provided USB keyboard port. I solved this problem by connecting the keyboard to my USB hub, which I plugged into the USB hub port on the switch. (NOTE: THIS WILL DISABLE EVERY HOTKEY FUNCTION ON THE SWITCH). My switch is right under the monitor, so no hotkeys are required. My mouse scroll wheel didn't work when I plugged a Bluetooth receiver into a mouse USB port on the Switch. I found a line in the user manual that said wireless mice should be plugged into the USB port on the keyboard. So it seems that if you have a wireless mouse, you will never get a keyboard shortcut feature. After realizing that the keyboard works better in a USB hub as mentioned here, I also connected a mouse to the USB hub. An added benefit is that my button remaps still work this way.
