Despite the shortcomings, the picture quality draws this lens by 5 minus. Pros below: I'll add some reviews. I use it with a K-1 DSLR. 1. Suitable for macro and portrait photography. The macro has excellent detail, the portrait has a beautiful, softly blurred background. The picture of this lens is a solid five, what to say. 2. Compared to the 24-70mm zoom, it weighs like a feather. So for me it's a light lens. 3. You can shoot a subject not at the minimum focusing distance, then crop the picture and get the zoom effect. Details will be visible as if looking through a microscope :) Its cons: 1. The sound of the motor can attract the attention of others and the subject :) 2. In Live View mode, when shooting in the evening indoors or outdoors under artificial lighting, the focus is completely out of focus. It works like this: first, it quickly drives the trunk from the minimum focusing distance to infinity, doesn’t hit, then the same thing at a slower speed and doesn’t hit again, and the shutter still fires :) In general, you shouldn’t even try to shoot in Live View in these conditions. When shooting through the viewfinder, 9 out of 10 hits. In this case, in 3 cases, the trunk will drive over all focusing distances before aiming, and in 6, it will immediately begin to move in the right direction. With good lighting and shooting through the viewfinder, the problem with focusing disappears. In cloudy weather during the day, the viewfinder is also normally aimed through the viewfinder. Although this does not stop the lens from being a macro lens in terms of autofocus speed. 3. Aperture F / 16 is fully operational, and at F / 18 there is a slight blurring. But in general, even up to F / 25, you can shoot with the subsequent addition of sharpness in FS - all the details will be visible, as in F / 18. 4. When shooting at the minimum focusing distance, you can only illuminate the subject "on the forehead" with a ring flash. A lamp or flashlight will only work on the side. Or you need to move back. When I shot on a crop and a 150 mm lens, there was no such problem. 5. The lens cover (apparently, like all Pentaxes) is not tenacious and not grippy. It takes a long time to shaman before she finally gets into her niche and catches on. Plus, she constantly strives to jump out of her fingers. For example, Sigma lenses do not have these problems. 6. When dust gets on the lens, clear prints are visible in the pictures. Need to follow.
