Review on BETOOLL HW9003 Argon/CO2 Gas Regulator Gauge: Reliable Flow Meter for Mig and Tig Welding by Kirk Womack

Revainrating 3 out of 5

Seems like a decent sensor and well built.

. Leaks! This gauge has some lightly dented surfaces on the ball seat that contacts and seals the valve on the tanks. I've tried tightening and loosening the two separate tanks a few times, hopefully to polish the brass as it's usually soft enough to warp a bit and seal itself. It was still hissing with a hint of leak. After a few unsuccessful attempts I rubbed red/burgundy scotch paint on the ball seat to freshen up the saddle a bit and it seems to have helped. It's still not 100% tight (after checking the thread seal with soapy water) like my better UL listed one. I bought it specifically for use with TIG and Argon. The sensor has separate argon and carbon dioxide flow markings printed on the glass column so it can be used with either type. The gauge valves and dials are smooth and seem solid enough after a little "massage" on the gasket. Let's hope this thing can handle normal use of 2200psi from full tanks of gas.

Pros
  • The outlet flow rate is adjustable from 10 to 60 cubic feet per hour (cubic feet per hour) and is indicated by a ball moving up and down the flow tube.
Cons
  • Not as thick as other picks.
