Review on πŸ”Š SVS Ultra Tower Speaker - Gloss Black (Each) by Brooke Rogers

Monster. The best outdoor speakers!

These monsters are not for everyone. You see, I love my music loud and clear! I only use these bad boys for stereo music. Not bulky A?V! First of all, if you want to get high sound levels out of these speakers, you're better off getting a built-in amplifier with at least 200 watts per channel (no A/V power). Don't get me wrong if you have enough room for front surround and performance. For the money, they blow away any surround sound. But you need some space for these woofers to work their magic. The best I've ever heard with 60 WPC Dolby Digital. You really don't need a sub. If so, then SVS subwoofers are the best in the world! These things ate my new 100WPC Yamaha A-S801. I could only turn the volume up about half and the Yammy got hot and shut down! Drove me crazy until the Ultras got chewed up and spat out! (Remember I turned it up and if you go above 20 WPC they will sound good to you). Luckily, Yamaha covered them with a warranty, got a replacement, and sold them. Flash forward. Now I did a little research. I now have a Peachtree Audio Nova 300 that delivers these things at over 450WPC. and I have yet to use all those watts and probably never will, because now. Perfection! And also that the Nova 300 is the best damn amp in the world.
