Good but tedious cleaning

No problems with the seller or product in terms of quality or service. But the directions say you need to boil off the pretty polish that keeps them from tarnishing if you plan on using shakers instead of home decor. I vaporized the varnish because I was planning to use them and they just look awful. They fade so easily now. The instructions say buy copper cleaner, but who seriously has time to clean salt and pepper shakers every day? I would not buy again.
