EDIT: DO NOT BUY! WORK A FEW WEEKS THEN DIE. THIS PRODUCT IS ABSOLUTE GARBAGE. First Rating: Only used as a plug. I've been driving for 3 days now. I hooked it up the first day and it worked great. I was so happy. Imagine my disappointment when it stopped working the next day! I bought it to replace the DVD drive in my laptop, but now I realize that this external drive is only a temporary fix until I can afford something better. I had to manually move the sled to get the drive spinning again, but even when it's in the right spot, the drive only seems to spin when my Wi-Fi is on. It worries me and annoys me. I don't leave my WiFi on when I'm not using it. Sounds crazy right? Which DVD drive requires Wi-Fi? When I loaded the disc today, I did an experiment: I turned off Wi-Fi while my game was loading from the CD. You will never guess what happened. The disc stopped spinning completely, my game wouldn't load, and my laptop couldn't tell there was a disc in the drive. Open it, move the cart, turn on Wi-Fi and voila! it worked again. So I have to fully load the game and THEN I can disable Wi-Fi. But it begs the question, WHY does a DVD drive need the internet? I don't know, but I plan to replace this piece of junk as soon as possible. Conclusion: If you're looking for a cheap external DVD drive, this will fit your needs, but remember cheap comes at a price!
